Edinburgh Castle

Visiting the world famous icon is a must while staying in Edinburgh and the Lothian’s. Built on top of an extinct volcano, the castle has viewed many of the defining events in Scottish history. Key attractions of the Castle are; the Scottish Crown Jewels, including the crown, the sword and the sceptre which are amongst the oldest in Europe and displayed with the coronation seat of Scottish Kings known as the Stone of Destiny; the St. Margaret’s Chapel, the Great Hall and the Royal Apartments which were built in 1511 by James IV and are the oldest buildings in Edinburgh; an atmospheric visitor experience about the Prisons of War in the late 18th Century that were locked in the underground vaults; and of course the one O’clock Gun, which has been fired almost daily since 1861.

Hogmanay

Seventy saw in 2010 with dinner and dancing to Obsession at Ducks in Aberlady.  We sold out for our two night Hogmanay package (£150pp) but many came for the dinner and dancing at an amazing price of £60 per head.

Obsession also played in the afternoon of the 1st.  Thanks to all of you who came and created a fantastic atmosphere over the two days.  A very big thak you from me to both Ros Sloan and Johhny Dunbar who ran the front of house and kitchen magnificently.

We will be doing the same again next year and will be taking bookings as of January the 11th.   Obsession's web site.
