Getting to Aberlady

Kilspindie House Hotel can be found in the village of Aberlady, situated along the Firth of Forth’s coastline of East Lothian. This picturesque village is located only 20 mins east of the Capital, making it easily accessible whether you are travelling by car, train or air.

By Car
20 minutes by road from central Edinburgh
* From Glasgow & West Scotland
* Join M8 to Edinburgh City Bypass A720
* Then take A1 South
* Exit at Bankton Junction following signs to North Berwick
* Travel through Longniddry to Aberlady

From South & East
* Follow A1 North
* Exit at Haddington junction
* Join A6137 to Aberlady
* Coaches stay on A1 and take Bankton Junction to avoid low bridge

The Hotel is situated on Main Street on the Left hand side

By Train
Aberlady is under 5 mins from the nearest railway station of Longniddry.
From Edinburgh Waverley, trains stop at Old Craighall, Musselburgh, Wallyford, Prestonpans, Longniddry, Drem and terminates in North Berwick.

By Air
Edinbugh International Airport is located around 7 miles west of the capital, with the A1 only a couple of miles away, this means that the airport can be accessed in around 40 mins. Additionally Newcastle, Glasgow and Glasgow Prestwick Airports are all under 2 hours away.

 

 

By Bus
You can catch the X5 or the 124 First Bus Services from Edinburgh, St Andrew Square (West side) which will take you out of Edinburgh and into East Lothian, reaching Aberlady after Longniddry. There is a bus stop just outside the Duck’s Hotel and takes around 30mintues from Edinburgh.

Alternatively you could catch the same bus from Longniddry Train Station, if travelling in from Edinburgh by train, the bus stop in Longniddry is across the road from the station, and buses come every 12 and 42 minutes past the hour.

This weekend - Mussels, langoustine, lobster, monkfish, sardines, black back bream, lamb chops, steak, liver and bacon, pimms, pink prossecco and ice, three outside eating areas basking in the sun.  Oh and fresh asparagus with hollandaise. Ducks restaurant or Donalds bar bistro

New season asparagus, strawberries and raspberries.

Also Port Seaton Lobster and langoustine yum

The mussels are huge at the moment.

You can have them in Donalds as well!
